Covid-19 Safety Protocols

With so many buyers and sellers waiting for lockdown to end, we expect an initial surge of requests. Over the last few weeks, we have taken dozens of calls from people wanting to view our homes as soon as viewings are possible, and these enquiries are increasing daily. But we need to make sure our clients, our buyers and ourselves are safe.
As most of you know we work from home and so we don’t have the same risks as working from a typical estate agents office, however within our working environment we are still observing strict hygiene measures and following government guidelines.
For face to face appointments we have now put the following safety protocols in place and hope you all understand and help support this new way of working!
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) –we now have gloves and masks available for our use while conducting a viewing, and disposable gloves will be provided for buyers if they do not have their own.
- Limits on viewings –There will be no more than 3 viewings per day on a single property and these will be carried out with prescribed time apart.
*On arrival at the property please wait for us to greet you, under no circumstances knock on the door.
- Time limits on viewings –no more than 20 minutes to view one property and no more than 2 people per viewing. We would prefer young children did not attend viewings as understandably they naturally want to ‘touch’ things!
- Viewings to be ‘contactless’ – where possible and appropriate, we will leave doors and main cupboards open, so buyers don’t need to touch any surfaces.
- The vendor to leave the property while viewings take place.
Note:
We are very much committed to working in the safest way possible but our over riding concern is that our vendors are comfortable with people entering their homes during this time. Therefore there may be instances where for specific properties people may be required to wear face masks/a form of nose and mouth covering, at the vendors request. If you are not willing to adhere to their request you will not be permitted to view inside. We will advise if this is the case at the time of you arranging the viewing.

We are now able to offer valuation visits to homeowners looking to move, following the same safety guidelines.
